We live in America – most of you do – “The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave”. Sometimes, we don’t feel very free here, often we don’t feel very brave. These are not the times of our great grandparents, when life was simpler, people worked for a living, and promises were meant to be kept. When families and communities depended on each other, When people listened.
Then I think, life on earth was never perfect.
We, men and women, have a history of misunderstandings, inadequacies, ignorance, war, hate, cruelty, greed, and all manner of wickedness.
No, life on earth was never perfect – save for a short period in a very special garden 6,000 years ago.
Yet we all have a chance to experience that elusive, mystical “perfection”-
One day, we could all live in Shamayim, the Land of the Freed and the Home of the Saved.
That day is coming quickly, and we all have a hope; our King is coming! He comes quickly, and He brings His reward with Him.
Imagine with me for a moment:
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and peoples, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.Revelation 7:9
